15 Days Turkey Tour Itinerary
Treasure of Anatolia
Tour Day 1: Arrive in Istanbul
Arriving in Istanbul. As today is an arrival day, there is no formal sightseeing planned. If you arrive early enough, you can wander in Istanbul..
In the evening there will be a Welcome Meeting held in the hotel, where you will meet your tour leader Baris Yesildağ who has 20 years of experience in tourism business.
Tour Day 2: Istanbul – Ankara
This morning our guide Baris introduces us the historic old town. We visit the iconic 17th century Blue Mosque, built for Sultan Ahmet I ,The ancient Hippodrome with Obelisk of Theodosius, Snake Pillar and German Fountain of Wilhelm IIare also visited. At around midday , we leave Istanbul and take a private minibus to Ankara, Turkey‘s capital, where we spend the night.
Tour Day 3: Ankara – Cappadocia – Göreme
We spend the morning visiting the Anatolian Civilisation Museum of Ankara We then depart in our minibus for a four hour journey to Cappadocia. We travel through the Anatolian landscape via a salt lake (tuz gölü), and then We visit Derinkuyu Underground City which is the biggest in Cappadocia with 7 floors. We end the day at our hotel in Goreme.
Tour Day 4: Cappadocia – Göreme
This morning we visit the Göreme Open Air Museum: The people of Göreme, at the heart of the Cappadocia Region, realised that the soft rocks of the area could be easily carved out to form houses, churches, monasteries We visit a pottery workshop, a tradition that reveals the Hitite origins of the Anatolia. Later in the afternoon we walk through extraordinary “Love Valley” before heading back to our hotel in Goreme. There is the option of enjoying a traditional Turkish bath to unwind from the day’s activities.
Tour Day 5: Cappadocia – Göreme
After a relaxing breakfast we have a walk by Kizilcukur (Red Valley), where its magnificently sculptured, red rock formations have created arguably the most beautiful valley in Cappadocia. We drive to the unique Pasabaglari Valley, where multiple fairy chimneys hewn from the earth and shaped by centuries of erosion lend a moon-like landscape and atmosphere to the valley. A chapel dedicated to St. Simeon and a hermit’s shelter are built into one of the fairy chimneys, which appears to have three heads! We walk today for a total of about three hours. In the afternoon we will take the opportunity to discover the local handcraft of carpet. Returning to Goreme, we have a night at leisure. We may have an opportunity to attend a folk dance show or witness an original Whirling Dervish‘Sema’ performance.
Tour Day 6: Ihlara Valley – Konya
For early birds, there is the possibility of rising before dawn to take an awe-inspiring optional hot-air balloon rideover the ‘other-worldly’ Cappadocia landscape and witness an amazing sunrise in the process. Those preferring a more leisurely start to the day can relax over breakfast before leaving the fairytale landscapes of Cappadociabehind and driving to the village of Belisirma in the Valley of Ihlara on the slopes of Mount Hasan, one of the volcanos responsible for the forming of Cappadocia. From here we drive on a wonderful walk along the Melendiz River and experience traditional village life, as we walk through the beautiful Ihlara Valley to Ihlara village. There are dozens of Byzantine cave chapels to explore along the way and most of them are decorated with exquisite biblical frescoes (1.5 hour walk). We then leave the area of Cappadocia behind and drive to Konya, We visit the biggest Kerevansaray was developed along old trade routes to provide shelters and protection then We drive to Konya and visit Rumi museum and then We check in our hotel fort he night.
Tour Day 7: Aspendos – Antalya
We have a five hour drive to the coastal city of Antalya one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey. A highlight here is the beautifully preserved theatre at Aspendos – one of the finest in the ancient world. We check in our hotel in Antalya.
Tour Day 8: Antalya – Kaş
We have a early departure today to Uçağız. We will board our local boat. We cruise through a series of peaceful and picturesque islands, all with very distinctive rock formations. We visit Kekova Castle. Today is the best day for swim. After boat cruise we will drive to Kaş and stay in our hotel.
Tour Day 9: Kaş – Fethiye
After having breakfast We drive to Xantos which was capitol of Lycia. After seeing Xantos We will drive to Saklikent Gorge a unique place in the world and then We will drive to our hotel in Fethiye a great town in Turkey.
Tour Day 10: Fethiye – Pamukkale
After breakfast this morning we drive to Pamukkale, also known as ‘Cotton Castle‘ and a truly unique sight. We will visit Hireapolis one of the greatest ancient sites in Turkey. We will walk though the biggest necropolis (ancient cemetary) and then we check in our hotel for night.
Tour Day 11: Pamukkale – Ephesus – Selçuk
After having breakfast we drive to Selçuk, We will have a fashion show with nice turkish models in local leather factory. We will visit Seven Sleepers Cave and then We visit Ephesus the best preserved Roman City in the world. After seing Ephesus we check in our hotel.
Tour Day 12: Selçuk – Troy – Çanakkale
After having breakfast we drive to Troy one of the greatest sites in Turkey. Troy is considered the fundemantel of all civilizations. Baris our guide tells you not only myth but also all archeological findings. And then we take a ferry to Europe and check in our hotel.
Tour Day 13: Full Day Gallipoli
After having breakfast Our guide Baris who is a specialist on Gallipoli Battlefields will take you to Anzac Cove we see ACS (Anzac Commeretion Site), Arı Burnu Cem, Lone Pine Cem,
Real Anzac Trenches, 57th Regiment Turkish Cem, and Chunuk Bair very important for New Zealanders. And then after having luch we go and see Cape Helles, British Memorial, Turksih Memorial, V beach landing beach, Alcitepe and then we go back to our hotel and stay.
Tour Day 14: Anzac Dawn Service
You will cross the strait with out tour bus aroun midday and then drive to Anzac Ceromony Area.

Tour Day 15: Gallipoli – Istanbul
Today after Anzac Day Dawn Service, We drive to Istanbul and check in our hotel. Our journey ends in Istanbul.
